JustPark has acquired BigParking, adding more than 120 event and matchday parking locations across the UK.
The sites sit near major venues including Emirates Stadium, Anfield and St Andrew’s @ Knighthead Park. Together they bring tens of thousands of additional spaces onto the JustPark platform, significantly increasing its footprint in football and live events.
More parking will now be sold in advance at fixed prices through JustPark’s EventPass product, rather than relying on cash payments and on-the-day availability around stadiums.
Event parking has long been fragmented. Fans often arrive without a booking and search locally. That creates congestion, delays and frustration in the narrow window before kick-off or curtain-up.
JustPark surveyed 3,100 drivers – 84% said parking stress had negatively affected their event experience. 56% had left events early due to parking issues. 48% spent more than 30 minutes searching for a space.
The acquisition aims to shift more supply into a digital reservation model. Fans book online, secure a price in advance and arrive with confirmation, rather than negotiating variable rates on the day.
BigParking works with more than 100 schools, churches and mosques that open land for matchday parking. Those organisations will continue to earn income through the programme, now under the JustPark platform.
Operational management will reportedly remain in place. BigParking’s subsidiary, Event Support Team (EST), will continue to run event-day operations at applicable sites, providing on-site staffing and oversight.
Jeff Shanahan, CEO of JustPark, said the deal allows the company “to roll out EventPass, a product built specifically for the live event experience, at scale”.
JustPark was acquired in 2024 by US event parking technology firm ParkHub, now also known as JustPark. EventPass was first introduced in the UK last year at The O2 in London.
