Informa reveals interior design collaborations for Decorex 2022

by Joe Gallop

Event organisers Informa Markets said this year’s edition of luxury design show Decorex will feature much-anticipated collaborations with some of the UK’s biggest names in interior design.

Taking place from 9-12 October at Olympia London, visitors to Decorex will be able to visit the Decorex Bar and VIP Lounge, which will be used for business networking, socialising and making new connections.

Decorex Bar

Designed by interior design studio Carden Cunietti, the Decorex Bar has been modelled on a “quintessentially Italian setting” with striped awnings and a chequered floor.

Carden Cunietti co-founder Eleanora Cunietti said: “We can’t wait to see visitors enjoying the space, chatting with colleagues and unwinding after a busy day on the show floor, with an aperitivo in hand.”

The Decorex Bar will feature pieces from Decorex exhibitors including wallcoverings by Arte and Cole & Sons and decorative lighting from J Adams & Co. Other suppliers include Dominic Schuster, Love your home and Vincent Shepherd.

VIP Lounge

This year’s Decorex VIP Lounge is designed by De Rosee Sa, an architecture and interior design studio based in London, Lisbon and Brussels. The design incorporates products from Decorex exhibitors including Arte, Laskasas, J Adams & Co, Graham & Green, We Wood, Ferreira de Sá, A Rum Fellow, Ian Mankin, CTO Lighting and Alice Lily Interiors.

Max de Rosée, director of De Rosee Sa, said: “We drew inspiration from 1970’s airport lounges, looking at how seating was rigorously arranged in geometrical patterns to create a sense of focus in a much larger space. We explored how this concept can generate a sense of atmosphere, inspired by spaces with a strong sense of geometry to create our design for the VIP Lounge.

“We’re excited about seeing the VIP Lounge Design come to life, to meet in person, interact and share ideas with our friends and colleagues in the design sector, especially over a drink in the VIP Lounge.”
