ExCeL London’s head of business development Jane Hague is leaving the docklands venue after almost 13 years in the role.
Hague began her career as an account executive at ExCeL London in 2000 before joining De Vere as a regional sales manager at the start of 2005.
She then returned to ExCeL London as head of corporate sales in November 2005 for a further three-year stint, before leaving to join an agency owned by Sportsworld Group.
Hague was again tempted back to ExCeL London as head of business development in November 2011. In August, she will join the venue group, Convene as director of UK sales.
In her new role, Hague will manage a team of 32 people in London, Manchester and Birmingham responsible for selling across a portfolio of meetings and office spaces, which includes etc.venues.
“It’s the end of an incredible chapter as I say goodbye to a job that has been my home for the last 12+ years. It has been a privilege to have learnt from (and worked with) the best in the business and I am so grateful for the opportunities, experiences and relationships that have shaped my career,” she said. “I’m now excited to become part of a growing portfolio of venues and contribute my expertise in a dynamic new role.”
