GES EMEA has published its official Roadmap to Net Zero, outlining a path to achieving net zero emissions by 2050. The EMEA subsidiary of US-based event services company also highlights in its roadmap that it has ISO:20121 2024 certification and Tier 5 ESSA Sustainability Accreditation in the past year.
The roadmap, released on 31 March 2025, provides both a long-term vision and a snapshot of the progress already made by GES EMEA. It sets out strategies to reduce emissions across its operations, such as eliminating carbon-intensive materials in favour of more sustainable alternatives.
GES EMEA President Jason Stead acknowledged the boldness of the plan, but said he had confidence in the company’s collaborative approach:
“We understand how ambitious our plans are, but we’re confident that by collaborating with our partners, they are more than achievable.”
Kate Holliday, head of ESG – GES EMEA, said the roadmap reflects GES’ wider commitment:
“Our roadmap is another significant step forward in our journey and provides a clear sustainability framework for our business.”
The company was an early adopter of the Net Zero Carbon Events Pledge and continues to work closely with industry partners to improve environmental performance and reduce its ecological footprint.
