Farnborough International has promoted Paul Denny to director of aerospace events and appointed him to its executive board.
The appointment comes ahead of the next Farnborough International Airshow and follows Denny’s involvement with the organisation over more than two decades.
He formally joined Farnborough International in 2019 as assistant director of aerospace events, having previously worked with the organisation since 1998 on behalf of industry clients.
Denny has nearly 30 years of experience in delivering international events across the aerospace, defence, security and space sectors. His career includes work on programmes for companies such as BAE Systems, Lockheed Martin and GE, as well as experience across the financial, automotive, technology and medical sectors.
During his time at Farnborough International, Denny has been involved in the development and delivery of aerospace events in multiple international markets. The organisation said his work has supported the expansion of its global events portfolio and engagement with industry, government and international stakeholders.
In his new role Denny will be responsible for setting strategic direction for Farnborough International’s aerospace events portfolio, according to the Hampshire venue. The venue said his remit includes developing international partnerships and overseeing the introduction of new platforms and initiatives related to the aerospace, defence and security sectors.
Gareth Rogers, chief executive officer of Farnborough International, said: “Our drive to continue to develop the most influential and international events within the industry is unrelenting and our newest board appointment reflects that. Paul’s extensive industry knowledge, long-standing commitment to the organisation, and proven leadership make him ideally placed to guide the future development of our aerospace events portfolio at a strategic level.”
