Easyfairs has acquired CHEMUK, the annual UK event for the chemical sciences, process engineering, and chemical industries supply chains.
According to Easyfairs, the acquisition is intended to strengthen its industrial processing events portfolio.
Launched in 2019, CHEMUK attracts professionals from across the chemical and process engineering value chain. The 2025 edition of the event drew more than 5,000 attendees, over 550 exhibitors, and 150 speakers.
The next edition is scheduled for 20 and 21 May 2026 at the NEC in Birmingham. The event is divided into five zones: Chemicals Supply Show, Chemical Management Show, Process & Chemical Engineering Show, Chemical Laboratory Show, and the Formulated Product Manufacturer Show.
Easyfairs said the integration of CHEMUK into its portfolio will allow it to leverage existing expertise, resources, and technologies, while creating opportunities for cross-promotion with other European events such as Lab Innovations, StocExpo, Pumps & Valves, and Solids.
Alison Willis, CEO of Easyfairs UK & Global, said: “We’ve closely followed the remarkable growth of CHEMUK in recent years. The event is a natural fit for Easyfairs’ expanding portfolio, and we’re thrilled to work with Ian and the team to further develop the show, deliver even greater value to its dedicated community and ensure it continues to be a cornerstone event for the chemical industries for years to come.”
Ian Stone, founder of CHEMUK, added: “CHEMUK has seen incredible growth since launching in 2019 and now stands as one of the largest and most important national events on the UK’s industrial landscape. Easyfairs was the obvious home for this complex show as it will now benefit from their large-scale operational capabilities, access to world-class B2B event technologies, critical event marketing expertise and event design innovation. All of this provides an exciting base, underpinning CHEMUK’s future dynamic growth.”
