Douglas Emslie has become a shareholder in Easyfairs through his family investment company, Cuil Bay Capital. Along with his investment, Emslie has joined the Easyfairs Board.
Emslie, who previously built Tarsus, which was later acquired by Informa, said: “I’m excited to work closely with the team and their private equity partners, Cobepa and Inflexion, as we support the next chapter of growth.”
Cuil Bay Capital will maintain its existing investments, including Raccoon Media Group and Jacobs Media, separately from Easyfairs. However, Emslie indicated that he may conduct future investments through Easyfairs (source: Kai Hattendorf).
Easyfairs, founded in 1997 by Eric Everard, is among the few family-owned international exhibition organisers in the global top 20 by revenue.
