CloserStill Media is expanding its Global Technology portfolio with the acquisition of a majority stake in the largest AI industry event in the US.
The organiser of Ai4 did not disclose the terms of the deal. Ai4 serves as a platform for AI/ML experts, IT leadership and Fortune 500 decision-makers to explore the full AI value chain – from infrastructure to applications.
The Ai4 event was launched in 2018 by Michael Weiss and Marcus Jecklin, who were joined by industry veteran Michelle Troop in 2019.
The three-day conference-led event is next set to take place in the MGM in Las Vegas 11-13 August before moving to the Venetian Las Vegas in 2026 to accommodate further growth.
Organisers predict the 2025 edition will attract 8000+ delegates, 250+ exhibitors and host over 600+ speakers across 50+ conference tracks. The event will also have a new 1-1 meeting and networking programme.
Ai4 will integrate into CloserStill’s established business technology portfolio and signifies CloserStill’s first major technology event in the region.
Commenting on the acquisition, CloserStill CEO Gareth Bowhill said: “We are delighted to be working with the team at Ai4 to accelerate its growth even further. The co-founders and team have built an outstanding platform, and we are committed to accelerating its future together with them. This acquisition marks a significant strategic step for CloserStill by expanding our global technology portfolio deeper into the North American market.”
Speaking on behalf of Ai4, CRO Michelle Troop said: “We are excited about this next chapter for Ai4. CloserStill’s approach to growth and event innovation aligns perfectly with ours. Their proven history of expanding renowned tech events makes them the ideal partner. We look forward to working together to take Ai4 to even greater heights.”
