UK-based international exhibition organiser CloserStill Media has appointed Nicola Hamann as managing director, Europe. She will oversee CloserStill’s Learning & HR and Future Transport & Infrastructure business units across the continent, with responsibilities to continue growth and development across both portfolios.
She joins CloserStill with more than 20 years of leadership experience across the international B2B events industry, severing multiple sectors and geographies. Most recently, Hamann served as senior director guest events and locations at Messe München. She has also held managing director positions at RX Global and Mack Brooks.
Her appointment comes as CloserStill is focused on planning for the next five years, looking for organic growth, new launches, geographic expansion and acquisitions.
As a member of the senior leadership team, Hamann will play a key role in delivering that strategy across Europe, building on the strength of CloserStill’s existing brands while identifying opportunities to enter new markets and further expand the group’s international footprint.

Hamann takes up the role with immediate effect and will be based at CloserStill’s London office.
