The Association of Event Venues (AEV) has revealed Floyd Woodrow will open its annual conference at the ICC Birmingham on 14 November 2024.

Woodrow is founder and CEO of Super North Star and Compass for Life foundation and chairman of the Quantum Group. He’s also a former special forces soldier and will share his own life experience relating to goal setting, achieving and leadership.

In line with this year’s theme ‘20:20 vision. Experience. Educate. Engage’, Woodrow will equip delegates with the knowledge for goal setting for the future, be it for them personally or for their venues.

Rachel Parker, director, AEV, said: “Floyd’s experience and knowledge is an excellent fit for our 20:20 vision theme and I am certain he will educate our delegates so they can take away all they need to engage their goals and objectives. A compelling and motivating start to the event.”

The eighth annual AEV conference promises a programme packed with insight covering goal setting, security, AI and sustainability.

Parker added: “Booking is now open. We are delighted to be able to offer our early bird rate once again and excited to celebrate our 20th birthday with a party at the Jam House, which is included in the delegate fee.”

The full programme is now available on the AEV conference website and the early bird offer is available until Friday 18 October 2024.
