Team members from Harrah’s Resort Atlantic City, board members from Street Love Foundation and others packed 60,500 meals for food banks and charities in two and a half hours on 28 July.

The food banks and charities in question are based in New Jersey and Philadelphia. They include Church by the Bay and AC Rescue Mission.

The initiative was run in partnership with Meals of Hope, which supplied 10,000 lbs of food, including oatmeal and a rice and beans dish, for the meals. Volunteers also included representatives from the Egg Harbor Township Police Department, the Boys and Girls Club of Atlantic City and the Philadelphia Do Gooders, alongside community members from Ventnor, Margate and Longport.

Joseph Giunta, senior vice-president and general manager of Harrah’s Resort Atlantic City, said: “Giving back is part of who we are at Harrah’s Resort. Seeing our team members and community partners come together to pack more than 60,000 meals alongside Street Love Foundation is truly inspiring. We’re grateful to play a role in helping fight food insecurity and supporting our neighbours across New Jersey and Philadelphia.”

The volunteering day forms part of Caesars Entertainment’s wider community programme, which its 2025 Corporate Social Responsibility Report says has included nearly $88 million in community investment and more than 78,000 volunteer hours over the year.
