WTM London will launch a new co-located event, WTM Travel Tech, at its 2026 edition as interest in travel technology continues to grow among exhibitors and visitors.

The new show will occupy its own hall with a dedicated entrance and will run alongside WTM London, which attracts more than 46,000 trade visitors from over 180 countries and 5,500 qualified buyers.

According to organisers, the travel technology segment at WTM London grew by 55% year-on-year, while 52% of visitors said they were actively seeking meetings with travel technology companies.

WTM Travel Tech will feature an “Innovation Highway” showcasing developments in areas including AI, big data, IoT and sustainability technology. A dedicated conference theatre, the Future Stage, will host content covering digital transformation, AI, payments, data, distribution, investment, geopolitics and market disruption.

Five advisers have been appointed to help shape the programme: professor Dimitrios Buhalis of Bournemouth University, Rita Varga of RaizUp, Shaon Talukder of GeoTourist, Jane Thompson of ICF and Paul Davies of Mintel.

The speaker line-up is still being finalised. Companies that appeared on stage at WTM London last year included Trip.com Group, T2RL, easyJet, Sabre, Almosafer and Tourism Economics.

The launch reflects the growing prominence of technology focused content and exhibition space across major travel industry events, particularly as AI adoption accelerates throughout the sector.

Networking will form part of the programme, including an event at the end of the second day.

Chris Carter-Chapman, exhibition director for WTM London, said: “Travel technology is becoming an increasingly important part of our event. We are launching WTM Travel Tech from a position of strength, we have listened to exhibitors, buyers and visitors and have come up with a proposition that reflects their changing needs in a dynamic market and which builds on our successes.”
