Charlotte Barker has been promoted to head of venue sales at exhibition venue Business Design Centre (BDC) following more than a decade with the London venue.
Barker, who said she is “excited” to start her new role, began her career at BDC during a placement year from the University of Gloucestershire in 2013 and returned after graduation as conference executive.
She later managed the conference department before joining the commercial team, where she now leads venue sales.
Charlotte Barker said: “The venue is a truly special place and one that I have been lucky to grow alongside, so I am honoured to now lead the very team that has supported me throughout my career.”
Max Bull, BDC CCO, who also stepped into a new role recently, added: “Charlotte has shown true dedication to the success of both the business and her team. It has been a wonderful experience to see her grow and thrive, and I am delighted to announce her promotion to this important leadership position.”
