ExCeL London has revealed that its purpose-built immersive experience rooms will form part of a larger onsite entertainment district called Immerse LDN.

Opening in August with ‘The Formula 1 Exhibition’ and the ‘Friends Experience: The One In London’, the 160,000 sqft Immerse LDN waterfront area will provide post-event activities, including ‘takeovers’ for exhibitor parties and networking opportunities when fully completed in early 2025.

Immerse LDN will host touring exhibitions and entertainment experiences, and feature street food stalls from KERB, plus a waterside food hall, bar and cafe. It will build upon the success of previously staged events includingJurassic World: The Exhibitionand ‘Disney100: The Exhibition’, which collectively sold more than 600,000 tickets.

Food outlets opening next month include established KERB eateries such as Duck Shed (wraps, salads & burgers), Masa Taqueria (Tacos), Nazari (Middle Eastern cuisine) and speciality London-roasted coffee house Hej.

ExCeL’s CEO Jeremy Rees said: “We wanted to create a space where guests, both local and international can enjoy the very best of immersive and experiential entertainment in one place. This project has been years in the making and a multi-million-pound investment which, once fully complete, will attract an additional 2.5 million visitors a year to the Royal Docks.

“Offering something for everyone, Immerse LDN aspires to become a destination in its own right, where visitors can explore experiences and enjoy great food and drink, all set against the striking waterfront of the Royal Docks.”
