Technology exhibition and conference, TechEx Global, held its fifth edition on the 6-7 September at the Business Design Centre.
The two-day event welcomed over 4,000 attendees and delegates from 35 countries. It also welcomed 100 exhibitors and 228 speakers from an array of start-ups, including Aston Martin, BBC, Huawei, HSBC, and more.
The five co-located events covered the fields of AI & Big Data, Blockchain, Cyber Security & Cloud, Digital Transformation, and IoT.
Franco De Bonis, marketing director, VISUA, said: “Live events are absolutely critical to driving innovation forward. Virtual events will never match the energy and willingness to learn of being there in person to take it all in.”
Ian Johnson, owner, TechEx, commented, “We are delighted to be back running physical events after nearly 1.5 years since our last show. Running an event and seeing people build partnerships, connect, and enjoy meeting up again was hugely rewarding, and it was good for the team to be out again doing what they enjoy. We had a great time running the event at the Business Design Centre, and the processes they went through to make sure it was a covid safe event made everyone in the show feel secure, and being one of the first Tech events out doing physical events again, we were pleased with seeing how many people turned up. Many of our team had only met people virtually over the last year, so meeting face to face really there is no substitute.”
Max Bull, executive director of Venue Sales, commented: “It’s been fantastic to welcome TechEx Global and the team to the BDC this week. Following several large scale trade exhibitions this is the beginning of a busy period of events at the venue and seeing people meet face to face again in confidence is truly great to see.”
