The 10th edition of Taste of London had its best-ever visitor numbers for its Regent’s Park event, according to new show owner IMG.
Highlights from the four-day foodie extravaganza, which had more than 50,000 visitors included the return of Taste of London’s ‘Founding Fathers’, Michel Roux Jr, Gary Rhodes and Alfred Prasad.
The three Michelin star chefs helped launch the first Taste of London festival back in 2004.
The winner of the Best in Taste Award 2013, was L’Autre Pied with Ceviche of hand-dived scallops with black quinoa, creme fraiche, radishes, fennel & dill.
“We are delighted that in our 10th year we were able to deliver what was probably our best ever Taste of London,” said Taste Festivals MD Justin Clarke. “The new ownership of Taste Festivals by IMG has indeed enhanced our ability to deliver world class events that will continue to go from strength to strength.”
Taste Festivals will be hosting 19 restaurant festivals in 2013. Next up will be Taste Festivals Big Feastival from 30 August to 1 September and a relaunch of Taste of Christmas at Tobacco Dock, London from 21 to 23 November.
