Step Connect² launches Festival of Learning

by Olivia Powell

Step Connect², a UK events organiser, has digitally transformed and launched a number of events during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The company’s digital transformation began with The Festival of Learning Spaces, which ran from 1 June-10 July. The festival delivered 57 webinars which features 133 speakers, and received over 3,000 registrations. The event also included weekly yoga classes in addition to over 30 on-demand videos to stream from exhibitors and sponsors.

Step Connect² has also launched a number of upcoming virtual events.

These events include Education Estates, a physical event which will be going digital in partnership with the Department of Education. The event will include conferences on topics including architecture, building performance, good estate management, inclusive learning, low carbon, modern methods of construction, opening up the estate, technology, wellbeing, zero carbon and more, and will take place from 12-16 October.

The Festival of Higher Education will be launched from 9-20 November. The event aims to connect those in the European higher education community and will focus on the funding, planning, design, construction, management and maintenance of university and higher education estates & facilities. The festival will feature webinars, on-demand videos, workshops, virtual study tours and an interactive exhibition.

Going forward, Step Connect² aims to take a “blended approach” to delivering events, by offering both live and digital events.
