Promo House Staffing, which supplies promotional staff, event staff and exhibition staff to brands, campaigns and events throughout the UK, is celebrating its second birthday.
The company was started in 2017 by Shelby Hateley and Demi Cooper with a mission to provide unique staffing experience, delivering an exceptional and outstanding customer experience in the events, experiential, promotional, hospitality and sports industries.
The company has since built relationships with football clubs in leagues one and two, The Championship and the Premier Leagues, experiential campaigns and exhibition organisers.
Hateley commented: “We were extremely proud to be starting our own company. As all business owners will say, it’s all hands-on deck during the first few months and you definitely become a jack of all trades. We hit LinkedIn hard, picked up the phones, pitched new business, managed the IT (with difficulty and panicked phone calls to friends for help), ran our accounts and most importantly learnt so much! The reality really did hit home too that we all of a sudden had this responsibility to the staff we employ.
“What we have learnt though, is it’s a graft but…the graft is worth it, to adapt to changing situations, to never give up, to be proud and to be loyal. The most important thing I think we have learnt is the ability to adapt and accept both success & failure as we strive for growth. To add more to the mix I became a Mum in October 2019 so I’ve also learnt how to carry on growing a business whilst being a working Mum…coffee!”
Cooper added: “I am so proud of everything Promo House have achieved over the last two years and excited to see what the next two years bring to the table. I hope we see Promo House become the go to agency for event organisers and hope to be in the forefront of people minds as the best staffing agency.
