Overhaul is magic pill for Pharmacy Show

A major revamp has helped secure record attendance at the Pharmacy Show, say organisers. 

Closerstill Media made radical changes to the two-day exhibition for pharmacy professionals after acquiring 80 per cent of the show last autumn. This included introducing five free CPD-accredited conference streams, which the organiser says helped boost attendance to a high of 4,479.

Chief executive of Closerstill Media Andy Center says: “We overhauled the show from top to bottom, trebled the marketing budget and gave it a new identity.”

He said the show’s dedicated pharmacy professional attendance rose by 78.71 per cent as a result.

Other new features included one-to-one business advice, a showcase of new products and a Distributors Wanted programme, which matched manufactures with potential wholesalers and distributors.
