The Ops Nest hosts murder mystery event

by Joe Gallop

Event operations membership programme The Ops Nest hosted an afternoon of murder mystery entertainment for its members last Thursday, 25 August.

In partnership with beMatrix, Ops Nest Live saw attendees gather at London Bridge station before being whisked away in a privately hired London bus to a secret location.

Upon arrival in Bethnal Green, the attendees, dressed in flamboyant 1930s outfits, boarded the fictional Murder Express train where they were treated to a four-course meal and live entertainment by actors.

The Ops Nest chair Lou Kiwanuka said: “I love seeing the joy on event professional’s faces, because quite often we’re the people behind bringing the joy. Quite often we’re the people running around behind the scenes.

“By bringing everybody together – whether it’s a venue, organiser, supplier, contractor, freelancer, designer – you bring together the best parts of the community and create something special.”

Kiwanuka added: “Today was all about smoke and mirrors, using AV in a different way, taking people from their day-to-day world into something special. If we bring just a slice of that into exhibitions and trade shows, l think we’ll be in a better place.”
