William Reed launches a new exhibition next month to co-locate with its seven existing shows catering for the food production and distribution industry.
According to the organisers, the UK food and drink logistics market is worth around £12bn a year and forms some 10 per cent of food and drink companies’ total spend. The Food and Drink Logistics Show, which debuts at the NEC from 21-24 March, will showcase products and services to key logistics and supply chain buyers.
“Our research showed that in 2009 food and drink companies spent £240m across the supply chain alone. Yet there was no logistics show targeting this sector. We’ve given the market what it wants,” says show manager Daren Rose-Neale.
He says that more than 5,000 of the 45,000 existing visitors already have an interest in logistics and he aims to attract new ones when the show runs alongside Food & Drink Expo, Convenience Retailing Show, International Forecourt and Fuel Equipment Show, Foodex and Baking Industry Exhibition.
