The new-look AEO Conference takes place next month.
Chaired by Paul Byrom, MD of Upper Street Events, the AEO’s main strategic event has been reduced from three days to one and costs £295 for members.
Chief executive of the AEO, Austen Hawkins, says the conference was moved to January from September to give the AEO time to assess what the exhibition community wanted from the event. It’s new slot also means more people will be able to attend, he says. “Certain organisers could never attend in September because of their show cycles.”
Speakers at the conference include Paul Smith, CEO of Celador and the man behind Who Wants to be a Millionaire; Peter Jones, MD of Niche Events and Philip Wilson, MD of COG Research, who will explain how the industry can prove ROI.
The AEO conference takes place on 29 January 2010 at Olympia Conference Centre.
