This autumn a new Destination Management Organisation (DMO) will be launched with the purpose of showcasing Harrogate District as an exceptional place to visit, meet and invest. Integral to this new DMO will be a passionate and dynamic Harrogate Convention Centre Marketing and PR team.
We’ve been hosting events on the site of today’s Convention Centre since 1835, helping event organisers and their audiences to connect, engage, grow and play. In a typical year we welcome around 300,000 visitors and contribute an estimated economic impact of £35m to the region’s economy each year.
In Visit Britain’s Business Events Survey 2018 Harrogate achieved a 96% delegate approval rating and is the UK’s No.1 destination for visitors who choose to return.
We are now looking for an enthusiastic Marketing & PR Executive with excellent writing skills and the ability to communicate with clarity and ease to different audiences. This new role will support the Harrogate Convention Centre Marketing Manager in a number of ways including;
Planning, co-ordination and organisation of the venues PR and Media activities to engage both trade and local media organisations
Lead on the venues Social Media activities including content creation, broadcast and reporting, Marketing support on research, planning and promotions in order to drive inquiries, and retain existing business
Main Responsibilities of Role:
The venue’s marketing team sits within the DMO because the story of the place is central to the Harrogate Convention Centre’s success.
