Managing Director – International Events
Central London/Remote Flexibility
Salary circa £70-80,000+ Bonuses

My client…Is a globally renowned business that deliver outstanding event experiences for multiple clients/markets bring high-level expertise in all areas of event delivery from both creative to operations. Due to the next phase of growth, they require an UK based MD to help the business continue to grow as an International Communications Business, facilitating partnerships with high-level clients.

The Role

Requires an experienced individual to lead the business from its current early stage to its stated vision. You will be responsible for the overall success of the business with the goal of ensuring the company is constantly moving towards fulfilling its short-term and long-term objectives.

Responsibilities include:
– Winning B2B event business from Clients e.g. Ministries, then overseeing delivery via their own team and third parties
– Negotiating both sides of Partnership deals with international organisers and Ministries and then ensuring relationship management to delivery
– Winning credible Partners for our own event concepts
– Developing and leading the UK based team to deliver on budget and agreed goals and plans
– Clear reporting to investors
– Communicating and maintaining trusting relationships with shareholders and business partners
– Overseeing the company’s financial performance
– Delegating responsibilities and co ordinating the work of the team
– Engaging with shareholders, team and clients in order to anticipate and act on challenges and opportunities
– Acting as the public speaker and public relations representative of the company in ways that strengthen its profile
– Business travel, especially to the Middle East, as required
The Strategy… The client has strong links to the Middle East region. This gives us a unique position to be able to identify event opportunities between the region and international markets and to create partnerships to deliver these, also they have experience in delivering events to a client brief, either as part of a wider communications programme or as a standalone proposition
