An ambitious, dynamic, fun and versatile creative event agency with great existing client relationships based on successful project delivery over a number of years. Now plotting a path for post-pandemic growth and to lead that challenge we’re looking for an energetic and dynamic individual who can work with existing clients to introduce the new, exciting Group offering. 

The successful candidate will work with our account managers and producers, to devise and deliver a strategic growth plan aimed primarily at our existing client channel.
We strongly believe in a personal approach to client services. 

Main purpose of the job: As an Account Director, you’ll work with a wide range of global brand clients. You’ll be overseeing your own account portfolio and will be directing the various internal teams (video, graphics, content, creative, logistics and production) to conceive, plan and deliver an exceptionally high standard of live, virtual and hybrid events and projects for your clients with a specific focus on the delivery of compelling content & messaging. 

Your focus will be on working closely with your clients on a strategic, planning, and relationship management level, whilst overseeing and guiding the team across varied communications projects to ensure they’re original, effective, and ultimately that they exceed your clients’ objectives.
You’ll take overall responsibility for revenue and profitability expectations for your personal account portfolio. 

Main responsibilities:

  • Project management – you’ll have full responsibility for overseeing the delivery of a portfolio of client projects, including large scale and high budget projects. You’ll engage or oversee colleagues in briefing internal departments, supplier liaison, content development, technical, logistics and delegate management.
  • Content development – you’ll work with internal and external resources to lead and drive creative content and messaging across all media, including digital, video, graphics and other communication materials. 
  • Financial management – you’ll have a knowledge of the financial management of all your client projects with the individual producers, being responsible for job profitability and maximising margin in line with agreed margin targets. 
  • Process and quality control – you’ll maintaining a high quality of execution in everything the business units produce to ensure client satisfaction exceeds targets as set by the Directors of the business. 
  • Resource management – you’ll work with the Head of Agency to ensure effective allocation of resources within the team so that clients receive best possible service and seamless project delivery. 
  • Client management – you’ll devise touch points with more senior contacts, understanding your client brands and strategy to enable more senior level conversations and seeking out any client opportunities. 
  • New business – you’ll identify new business opportunities within your portfolio of accounts but also generally. You’ll attend new business meetings and networking events and act as an ambassador of the Group at all times. 
  • Line management – in time you’ll be responsible for the line management of senior account managers / account managers as the client services team grows.  

Skills, qualifications, and abilities:

  • Significant experience from an events/comms agency within account management at Account Director level.
  • Event production experience ideally in an agency environment
  • Large budget event experience – including international preferable
  • Line management experience essential
  • Experience of using ROI methodology essential
  • Experience of content development and how to bring alive messaging in a conference and comms environment
  • Experience of working with internal communications teams essential
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills – excellent presenter and confident at communicating at a senior level (Exec/board)
  • Strategic thinker – ability to rise above, read the market and anticipate change
  • Leadership – leads by example, establishes trust and respect. Has the ability to recruit, performance manage and motivate teams.
