Jewellery & Watch announce 2020 features

Jewellery & Watch have announced that it will be featuring three theatre and workshop spaces in 2020, including the Retail Skills Theatre, the new Design and Source Stage and the Inspiring Retail Stage.

The event has also announced the 2020 Seminar Programme. Focuses include sustainability and the environment, featuring talks such as ‘How Can You Be a Sustainable Retailer?’, ‘Evolution of Sustainable Store Design’, ‘Responsible Sourcing and Compliance’, and ‘Use Today’s Waste for Tomorrow’s Products’.

The Inspiring Retail Stage will feature daily talks by Spring Fair trends partner, Colour Hive, as well as featuring key note speakers Mary Berry (‘In Conversation with TV personality Mary Berry’) and Mary Portas (‘Why the Future of Business is Rooted in Kindness’).

Design and Source Stage will have daily Sourcing Starter Pack talks, offering insights into buying from South Asia, India, Turkey, North Africa and China.

At the Retail Skills Theatre, Rebecca Day of Day HR Consultants will speak on ‘The Skills and Behaviours of Successful Retail Teams’ and ‘Enhancing the Customer Experience in the Final Mile’, and James Hyde, CEO and founder of James & James eCommerce Fulfilment, will present a talk on ‘Managing Returns and Remaining Profitable’.

The show also includes many talks for independent business owners across all the stages. Topics range from ‘Embedding Your Business in the Community’ to ‘Filling the Gaps: Independents and Hope for the High Street’.

Other topics to be discussed across all three theatres and stages include visual merchandising, social media best practice, buying techniques, business negotiation, search engine optimisation, Google analytics, monetising social media and Google advertising.

Jewellery & Watch 2020 will be held on 2 February 2020 at NEC Birmingham.
