Identity, an Eastbourne-based live events agency, lit up its headquarters in red on 8 July for the #LightItInRed campaign.
The national campaign aims to warn the government that the events industry will collapse before the spring of 2021 unless there is at least an extension of the furlough scheme, capital grants and the self-employed income protection scheme.
Many other venues across the UK were also lit up in solidarity.
MD of Identity, Michael Gietzen, said: “Currently, unlike other industries, there is no set date for live events, shows, festivals and performances and so on, to restart after the COVID-19 shut down. The #LightItInRed campaign is a warning to the Government of the critical condition of this sector.
“The industry came together and lit up key venues across the UK and of course, our 2,800sqm HQ in Eastbourne was also glowing red last night to draw attention to this.”
