EN joins the events industry in celebrating #GED2021. Now in its sixth year, the campaign highlights exhibition industry’s important role in driving global economies.
EN and EW editorial director Martin Fullard said: “Global Exhibitions Day this year has come at a time when things are starting to pick up, albeit cautiously. There is still a long way to go, of course, but let that not dampen our spirits as we look ahead to better times.
“On behalf of everyone at Mash Media, I wish the entire global exhibitions community well and look forward to seeing as many of you in person before too long.”
We at Mash Media are not the only ones getting involved. #GED2021 looks set to bring together several industry organisations to recognise how exhibitions will play a key part in economic recovery post-pandemic.
Simon Parker, EN guest editor and chair of the Association of Event Organisers (AEO), said: “This is the sixth GED and is probably the most significant in its history. GED will be a timely reminder of the massive impact our sector has on industries and economies. It recognises the role our sector will play in the recovery and regeneration of the global economy after the ravages of Covid and we wholeheartedly support it.”
