ESP Recruitment has revealed that Mash Media will become the media partner for its Eventice competition in 2014 and that the Event Production Show 2014 will host the finals.
The recruiter launched the Apprentice-style challenge in 2010.
In recent years, winning candidates have secured roles with Blitz, George P Johnson, Excel and Tarsus Exhibitions.
Gabrielle Khaled (pictured), one of the 2013 winners of the Eventice, now works at George P Johnson.
Interested candidates will need to submit a two minute video explaining why they want to work in the event industry and from there the best twelve will be selected to attend the finals.
These will take place from 10 to 12 February at Earls Court 2 in London.
“We’re really looking forward to working with Mash Media to drive forward Eventice 2014,” said ESP Recruitment managing director Liz Sinclair.
“Their portfolio sits across many disciplines of the event industry and will give us access to a broad range of employing companies. In addition, the timing of the Event Production Show is excellent, with an early February date for the finals the students will have more time to prepare for the competition as there is less of a clash with dissertation deadlines and studying for final examinations.
“The quality of the students and employers involved in Eventice has always been of an incredibly high standard. Holding the finals at the Event Production Show will highlight how many talented graduates are out there to a whole new audience.”
Mash Media sales and event director Duncan Siegle welcomed the new addition to the show.
“We’re delighted to be supporting ESP with the Eventice competition,” he said. “We recognise how important it is, in order for the industry to evolve, to have a regular influx of bright and creative individuals. Holding the finals at the Event Production Show in 2014 is an exciting development and something that the whole team is looking forward to getting behind.”
