The Digital Event Awards has announced that comedian Zoe Lyons will host the live online event, 18 March.
The new awards were launched by Mash Media to recognise the outstanding achievements of an industry that has been badly affected by the pandemic, with the vast majority of live events since March 2020 either cancelled or moved online.
Lyons has previously appeared on a number of TV shows including Have I Got News for You, Celebrity MasterChef and Mock The Week, in addition to winning Celebrity Mastermind.
She is also a guest host of Radio 4’s The News Quiz, and a series regular on Just a Minute, The Unbelievable Truth and The Now Show.
Lyons has previously won both the Comedian’s Comedian Award and Chortle Award for stand up, and her debut hour at the Edinburgh Festival gained her a nomination for the Perrier Award. She has also hosted the So You Think You’re Funny Final in Edinburgh for the last five years.
The Digital Event Awards will be taking place online on 18 March, kicking off at 4pm. To join the event, register here.
The shortlist for the awards was unveiled in February, and showcases the very best of the events industry’s digital skills. View the list in full here.
The Digital Event Awards are headline sponsored by Showcase, iVent, Collaborate Global and Circdata.
