ICHF Events says its Creative Stitches & Hobbycrafts show attracted 15,000 people (unaudited) to EventCity, Manchester.
This was the first time the show had been to the venue as a standalone event, following a partnered show with Woman’s Weekly magazine in September 2012.
Visitors to the show, held 7-9 February, saw catwalk fashion shows, a Jane Austen costume display and more than 80 exhibitors offering a variety of crafts.
Creative Stitches & Hobbycrafts has been running at other UK venues since 1988.
“We are thrilled with the huge success of Creative Stitches & Hobbycrafts at EventCity, the show attendance exceeded all of our expectations,” said Troy Bennett, director of ICHF Events. “We received positive feedback from exhibitors and visitors and we are looking forward to continuing to expand and improve the show to become the best craft event in the North West when we return in September 2013.”
Andy Orr, managing director of EventCity, said the footfall at the event had justified their decision to partner with ICHF Events.
“From the outset we were impressed with their vision, the quality of the product and the investment in marketing and promotion,” said Orr.
Creative Stitches & Hobbycrafts will return to EventCity on 12-14 September 2013. ICHF Events will also take its successful Cake International – The Sugarcraft, Cake Decorating and Baking Show to the same venue from 8-10 March.
The EventCity show is one of two that ICHF announced last year.
