Over 550 landlords from across Dorset are expected to attend the upcoming Bournemouth and Poole Landlord Exhibition. The one-day event takes place on Wednesday (18 October) at the Bournemouth International Centre.
EN understands that the two councils joined forces to launch the event in 2010, but a couple of years later each borough organised a separate event. Bournemouth and Poole revisited the joint venture three years ago and both councils have been working together to facilitate the event ever since. Working alongside events specialist Seventa, Bournemouth and Poole will be bringing together a team of rental market experts.
Simon Brooks, director of Seventa Events, commented: “The annual Bournemouth and Poole Landlord Exhibition is a great example of our councils working together to enhance business in the region. Together we will ensure that Bournemouth and Poole’s thriving rented sector continues to grow.”
The exhibition features seminars that have been designed to provide landlords with the tools they need to take full advantage of the area’s private rented sector.
Councillor Robert Lawton, Bournemouth cabinet member for housing, commented: “We are pleased to be supporting this event which is now in its tenth year. It will provide our local landlords with much sought-after advice on market and investment opportunities, plus how to become a landlord and the responsibilities involved. It will also include great tips on financial management and the legal issues that our landlords may face.”
The organisers said the Bournemouth and Poole Landlord Exhibition 2017 promises to be “even bigger and better”. It is an important calendar event for local landlords and features an array of expert speakers and service providers from across the South Coast.
Councillor Karen Rampton, cabinet portfolio holder for housing and community services, Borough of Poole, added: “This event will increase its reach and participation, enabling us to support the huge number of landlords who have properties in Bournemouth and Poole.”
