Karren Brady’s ascent to the top of the business world, the event industry’s response to the next generation of talent, and a shooting gallery have been some of the highlights of a packed opening day at International Confex.
Day One at Olympia London saw Brady, star of BBC’s The Apprentice, talk about her rise through the male-dominated world of football along with her top business tips in her keynote speech.
Brady then went on a tour of the exhibition stopping at several stands.
The event kicked off this morning with events minister Nick de Bois leading a debate on government findings into the events industry.
The Old Manor Hotel was one of the more popular stands at the show as it featured a shooting gallery for visitors.
The event industry is encouraged to come to the show tomorrow where highlights will include a keynote speech Kanya King, founder of the MOBO Awards and Olympia London leading a debate on the future of exhibition venues in London.
