Sports pundit and former England rugby player David Flatman has been announced as the host of the 13th annual EN Awards, which take place on 22 March at Battersea Evolution.
Flatman, who represented England eight times between 2000 and 2002, works as a pundit for Channel 5, ITV and BT Sport.
EN portfolio director Simon Farnfield commented: “We’re thrilled to have David hosting the EN Awards for 2019. He is an accomplished host and speaker and understands the time, energy and care that goes into putting on world-class events.”
In 2015 Flats was named in ITV’s Rugby World Cup team to co-commentate on live matches while he has been an integral part of the broadcaster’s Six Nations and Women’s Rugby World Cup coverage.
Flats is also one half of the successful ‘Flats & Shanks’ rugby podcast, which has been running since September 2016. Such was its success that in 2018 the duo were announced as presenters of ITV’s first Six Nations podcast, which debuted at number 1 in the iTunes podcast chart the first week of its release.
