The inaugural Ideal Home Show at Christmas, starting this week, has already sold 30,000 tickets according to the organiser.
Media 10’s managing director Lee Newton told EN that the exhibition is anticipating 70,000 visitors at Earls Court 1, which starts on Wednesday 16 November and runs until Sunday. The consumer exhibition will also have more than 500 exhibitors.
“I can’t remember a launch show this big in the exhibition industry,” said Newton.
The firm bought the Ideal Home Show brand in 2009 from DMG World Media.
Since Media 10 took over the Ideal Home Show, visitor numbers have mushroomed.
The show, which ran from 11 to 27 March at Earls Court in London, drew 270,000 visitors. Last year’s show brought 250,000. According to Newton, the show attracted about 150,000 visitors before being acquired by his company.
The Ideal Home Show is also launching its own range of insurance products at the event.
“We have found that people trust the Ideal Home Show brand, and we have done a very competitive deal to offer our own home insurance,” said Newton.
