The Business Visits and Events Partnership (BVEP) has announced today that the GTMC has become a partner of the organisation.
The GTMC is the representative body for travel management companies (TMCs) and the business travel community in the UK. Members of the GTMC range from some of the world’s largest TMC groups to specialist travel businesses. The trade body works with its members and industry partners to raise the profile of the economic impact of business travel and lobby those at the highest level within the sector and government.
Adrian Parkes, chief executive officer of the GTMC, commented: “Our membership of the BVEP gives us, on behalf of our members and partners, a greater voice in the wider events sector – an area of great opportunity for the business travel industry. The BVEP represents key organisations and associations across the UK and internationally and we are looking forward to strengthening a worthwhile and influential partnership.”
Michael Hirst, chair of the BVEP, added: “GTMC’s membership highlights the diversity of representation within the partnership. Business travel is a key component of a successful business event. GTMC’s membership will enable the issues of travel management companies to be fully integrated into BVEP’s work whilst the partnership will also benefit from GTMC’s campaigns for improved and more competitive infrastructure linking Britain with the rest of the world”
