Battersea Evolution, owned by Smart Group have announced that the temporary space will be a permanent fixture over the next four years at Battersea Park. The venue has also been granted planning permission to extend the space further to meet the demand for larger events.
The new 8m ceiling height will now allow the venue to host live televised events to reach both a national and international audience. Other additions include a new entrance, with new floor to ceiling glass panels, as well as enhanced lighting, better production, layout opportunities and upgraded facilities.
Positioned in the heart of London’s Battersea Park, Evolution is a purpose-built event space designed to cater for a diverse range of events. Measuring 5,650m², the space boasts capacity for up to 2,000 for seated dinners, 4,000 for standing receptions and 5,000 for exhibitions. It has historically hosted a series of industry events including the prestigious Sport Industry Awards, Cancer Research UK’s star-studded Emeralds and Ivy Ball, and the Telegraph Ski and Snowboard Festival.
