WellFest set for delayed UK launch with Joe Wicks and Dr Alex George

Outdoor health and fitness event WellFest will launch in the UK this summer with Joe Wicks MBE and doctor and former Love Island star Alex George among the headline presenters.

After its delayed 2020 launch, the festival will now go ahead on 2-3 July at Old Deer Park in Richmond, London. Created by the team behind Irish WellFest, the event will feature health and wellness experts covering topics such as fitness and nutrition, yoga and mental health.

WellFest co-founder Helena Ryan said: “Over the past seven years, WellFest has moved from being a passion project for myself and my co-founders to becoming an internationally recognised brand that attracts the most influential fitness stars.

“The UK health and fitness stars that have been to WellFest in Dublin regularly comment that WellFest is unlike any other event in the industry and that we should bring it to London – so that is what we are doing.”

This year’s headline partner, Irish athleisure brand, Gym+Coffee has been involved with WellFest for more than five years, having first attended as an exhibitor in Ireland in 2017. Following its recent expansion in the UK, the Gym+Coffee Main Stage will host the likes of Wicks and personal trainer, blogger and author Alice Liveing.

Every ticket to the event will include access to workshops, workouts and talks. Organisers also said children are welcome and catered for with each adult ticket admitting up to two children under 12.

Areas include the Gym+Coffee Main Stage featuring different styles of workouts from the festival headliners; WellTalk featuring talks and panel discussions; WellFlow featuring yoga and Pilates; WellKids featuring classes for children 12 and under such as yoga and dance; and the WellVillage marketplace featuring wellness brands to sample and buy.
