Make events pay

What makes the events industry unique is its capacity to provide people with an unforgettable experience. This is a powerful tool that doesn’t come for free.

The amount of thought, planning, strategic and creative thinking that goes into the making of an event has a price. The task for event organisers is to make the effort not only cost-efficient but also profitable.

In order to make this work for organisers, the National Outdoor Events Association (NOEA) launched the commercialisation project. Its tagline “How to Make More Money Out of Events” embodies the aim to create bigger profits, but also prompts a discussion on how commercially savvy the industry is and how it can improve in these areas.

In a recent issue of EN featured opinion from Rachel Parker, director of the Association of Event Venues (AEV), where she discussed how to gain a competitive edge. As with NOEA ‘s commercialisation project, Parker believes that industry collaboration is necessary to allow business to see through the eyes of its customers, partners and competitors.

How far are you willing to go to get that competitive edge? The good news is that a one-of-a-kind opportunity for event organisers is just around the corner.

Over 100 new products and services for the events industry will be showcased at the Festival and Outdoor Events Show (27-28 September, Sandown Park).

Attending Festout will, without doubt, give organisers an exclusive opportunity to meet the highest-quality suppliers and products in this sector that will deliver  the essential wow factor at corporate events and exhibitions.

As well as a networking opportunity, Festout offers a valuable education programme for events professionals with workshops, panels and presentations that will focus on finding a clear vision for the future of the industry.

This two-day event is your golden opportunity to meet and greet with key suppliers. Register to attend Festout and make the best of it.
