The organiser of Accountex London, an accounting and finance conference and exhibition, has announced the show has been postponed for the second year running due to Covid-19 concerns.
The show will now take place from 11-12 May 2022, at its usual venue, ExCel London.
Zoe Lacey-Cooper, event director, said that although there are “positive signs” that large scale events will be able to restart in the coming months, she believes the current restrictions in place still pose a “huge challenge” to running the event in May.
“We want to make the right decision for the whole sector as well as our attendees,” she said. “After consulting with our partners, we have decided the best action for everyone involved is to move the show to May 2022.
Lacey-Cooper added that she wanted to ensure that exhibitors, visitors, speakers and partners have a successful experience at Accountex London. She said: “We are committed to delivering a show that provides the industry with the most effective opportunities for networking, education, discovery and interaction, and we are confident the move to 2022 will best enable us to do this.
“Finally, we are so grateful for the incredible goodwill and support this industry has shown us during these difficult times. We are looking forward to working together over the coming year to ensure that Accountex continues to be the celebration and gathering the industry deserves and can be proud of. And more than anything, we look forward to seeing you – in person – as soon as possible.”
Accountex Summit North is still planned to go ahead on 21 September 2021 at Manchester Central.
