Exhibition News is delighted to announce the winners of the EN 30Under30 Class of 2020.
The hybrid event, sponsored by LiveBuzz and Visit by GES and adhering to government guidelines, took place in ODEON Leicester Square, 4 November. ONWARD DISPLAY and the AEO were partners for the event, with photography provided by Jonathan ‘JT’ Taylor of Aniseed Photo.
Many of the Class of 2020 were able to attend the event, network and hear from guest speaker and inaugural winner Tom Fisher of Clarion Events, while others joined over a hybrid link.
Mash Media’s editorial director, Martin Fullard, said: “As a publishing company and brand that champions live events and their return, we were extremely pleased to be able to host this event and bring a number of the winners together. The team at ODEON Cinemas have been incredible in supporting this event and ensuring it could take place in a safe environment. The feedback from the attendees was tremendous, they were genuinely delighted to be able to attend an in-person event, especially as we went back into lockdown a matter of hours later.
“The intake are here because they have shown extraordinary leadership in the face of a crisis. We can’t afford to be sitting around waiting for a fate to be served to us, as an industry we must challenge, fight our corner, and lead the way to grow all sectors. That is what we do, and that is something I certain the Class of 2020 will relish.”

Abbie Coonan – Hyve Group – Marketing Manager
Abbie has impressed in her two years at Hyve, exceeding all revenue and attendance targets whilst significantly growing web traffic and taking on extra responsibility. Her response to the pandemic has been to take on further new projects and show ownership of them. Her high levels of ambition suggest a promising future.
Alessandra Leonard – Easyfairs – Marketing Project Manager
Alessandra has delivered exceptional results across all projects including revenue, attendance and research feedback but what sets Alessandra apart is her incredible passion, commitment & adaptability, which ensures that she continues to improve YOY in a very driven & ambitious organisation.
Alexander Loveday – Hyve Group – Account Manager

Beth Welcomme – Easyfairs – Data Manager
Beth has made a significant impact on the data department at Easyfairs since day one, reorganising the data team and processes, taking on management of a struggling team of 3 and turning around their performance to excellence. Beth has revitalised & refocused the data to achieve impressive & record-breaking revenue & visitor growth.
Catherine Chin – Easyfairs – Senior Marketing Executive
Catherine has had a huge impact during her time in event marketing. Catherine is approachable, dedicated, and knowledgeable. She is incredibly adaptable and shows great willingness and versatility for managing any given situation with ease. She has been invaluable in helping to organise and execute all campaigns during the uncertainty and strange times over recent months, for both the event industry and industries her events are in.
Charlotte Hendy – Media 10 – Marketing Manager
Charlotte has been revolutionary to the business since joining Media 10. She is one of the most intelligent, creative and diligent marketers the business has employed. She has built a team to work for her whilst delivering results, which is where Charlotte has excelled – ensuring attendances and revenues increase on her events, all the while overseeing ever-strained budgets.
Chloe Richardson – Acier Events – Owner
Chloe has worked for over half of the world’s top organisers, across many continents, delivering exceptional sales results. Her industry profile has never been higher nor has her reputation. An exceptional commercial mind with outstanding commercial results.
Danika Bacon – Easyfairs – Senior Operations Executive
Danika’s career has flown in her three years at Easyfairs from Operations Assistant to the point where she is fully responsible for the operations management of international shows and significant budgets. Her prowess also meant she was brought back at the end of lockdown to manage the health and safety for the Easyfairs return to work.
Emma Lonsdale – Clarion Events – Commercial Marketing Manager
Emma has turned her hand successfully to every aspect of marketing in her career so far at different companies, receiving glowing testimonials from her line managers but in her current role she has increased revenue via marketing by 433% in the first year, boosting new business revenue for all 3 events and handing 285% more leads to sales at a 20% conversion rate. Exceptional results that any sales team would appreciate.
Gemma Shaw – Inside Out Events – Sales and Project Manager
Having presented the business owner with a plan for new business revenue, Gemma quickly delivered for the business and pretty soon had delivered £1million of new business. During lockdown she implemented significant new strategies and products that saw revenue retained and helped the business survive.
George Ince – Reed Exhibitions – Demand Marketing Executive
George has consistently demonstrated a wide breadth of knowledge of the marketing systems used across the business and how they can be leveraged to improve marketing reporting, analytics and tracking. George’s approach is always welcoming and he is always happy to help any team member with any task at the drop of a hat, and if unable to help, always keen to find someone who can.
Grace Reilly – Hyve Group – Client Engagement Manager
Grace moved into this project management role from a background in marketing and thoroughly hit the ground running. Since taking on the position in September, over this year, she has been instrumental in strengthening and developing the relationships of our key accounts and clients across Bett Globally. The results she achieved at Bett London 2020 were exceptional.
James Rees – Montgomery Events – Senior Commercial Executive
Out of the 24 sales professionals on the team, James Rees ranked at the very top of the 2019/20 performance review, despite having significantly less experience than most of his peers. The year on year growth in James’ performance was quite remarkable considering he had never done exhibition sales prior to joining in May 2018. This is a testament to James’ sales acumen. James shows considerable leadership potential and is one to watch.
Jeremy Coward – Informa Tech – Marketing Content and Community Lead
Since joining Jeremy has grown his digital marketing skills, data analytics knowledge, commercial acumen and management skills significantly. This expertise has led to positive and considerable bottom line impact for the business, especially during the company’s pivot to digital events and marketing services, earlier this year. His management and delivery of London Tech Week was outstanding following the pivot to online.
Kara Neill – Broadway Events – Marketing Executive
Kara has a strong work ethic and is so dedicated to the job and the company. She has the tools, skills, attitude and charisma to succeed as a future Marketing Manager. Kara’s writing skills are incredible. She has a way with words and can write blogs, social media posts, press releases, marketing emails plus much more with the audience in mind to make them the content stand out. There is absolutely no doubt that she will be exactly where she plans to be in 5 years’ time.
Katie Gray – Easyfairs – Marketing Manager
Katie has a passion and flair for events which is wildly apparent from her sheer dedication to her events and the industry as whole. She has progressed her career at a rapid rate for a young ‘under 30s’ professional and is ambitious to continue on this steep trajectory. Since joining the Lab Innovations she has already delivered against key targets including visitor attendance, a new matchmaking system, launching new features and a series of online events.
Katya Moore – Clarion Events – Special Events Manager
Katya started with Clarion with just one area of responsibility: to deliver all social/networking events affiliated with ICE London. Since then she has taken on responsibility for social/networking events on all 12 of Clarion Gaming’s events, managing the Customer Services Team and delivering all Awards ceremonies, including launching three. She is a true game changer, with a strong teamwork ethic and authentic leadership style, whom we are all incredibly proud to work with and feel that she deserves this recognition.
Kayleigh Williams – Montgomery Events – Operations Executive
When Kayleigh joined Montgomery she barely knew what a Trade Show was. Since then she has embraced the industry with wholehearted enthusiasm. She takes every opportunity on offer to learn more skills, meet more people and understand everything about trade shows and why they take place. She is now responsible for training and mentoring junior operations staff coming into the business.
Louise Love – ICHF Events – Senior Operations Manager
An impressive career at ICHF has seen Louise rise from Admin Assistant to Senior Operations Manager in a relatively short period of time. She is now responsible for the delivery of 21 events and running a small team, whilst being active within the industry on AEO groups and was single handedly responsible for attaining the Good to Go accreditation for the business.
Maisie Worster – Quartz Business Media – Event Operations Manager
Starting with no prior experience in the events industry, or in an operational role, Maisie’s attention to detail is quite extraordinary and her ability to plan ahead and manage multiple projects at the same time has meant that QBM has been able to launch several new events in the last 12 months without the need to expand the operations team. She has truly made the role of Operations Manager at QBM her own.
Millie Savage – GovNet – Content Executive
Millie Savage joined GovNet as Content Assistant in March 2019 and was quickly promoted to Content Executive in January 2020. Her research and how she works with speakers to deliver content has helped get HETT into the top 10% of events measured globally by Explori. Millie also chaired the company’s Content Working Group for Virtual Events, looking into new content channels.
Rachael McKie – Informa Tech – Senior Campaign Marketer
Rachael has demonstrated her commercial acumen, dedication, strong focus on results, flexibility and strong ability to multi-task throughout. Rachael’s ownership of projects, her proactiveness and multi-channel approach teamed with her positivity have helped her to deliver significant audience growth in 2020. Rachael is a knowledgeable, diligent and passionate marketer who consistently drives increases in audience and delegates and goes above and beyond to deliver results in a changing environment.
Rhianna Price – MA Exhibitions – Marketing Manager
Rhianna is the ultimate in can-do and her growth at MA Exhibitions has been exponential. Rhianna works tirelessly to ensure every task she is responsible for is executed to the highest quality. Working in conjunction with several different departments in her current position her ability to collaborate various responsibilities with his in depth knowledge of the variety of sectors she works in has made her a go-to member for the wider team that will always deliver.
Samuel O’Connell – Easyfairs – Marketing & Intelligence Manager
Sam is an incredibly accomplished and mature senior marketer at just 28, who succeeds not only in smashing targets, but also contributes to high level marketing strategy across an extensive global portfolio of events, steering multiple marketing teams, improving marketing processes and results across the region. He even turned his hand to on-site re-book and achieved an 80% success rate.
Sarah Rosenberg – Phacilitate – Clarion Events – Head of Marketing
Sarah is nominated for the EN 30Under30 because in her 2 and a half year with Clarion, she has absolutely transformed herself from a proficient, dedicated and reliable campaign marketing manager to an inspiring business leader with strategic vision and has not stopped developing despite the many challenges our industry is facing.
Sarah Worwood – Reed Exhibitions – Operations Manager
Sarah is highly organized, prepared and calm under pressure. She has successfully taken on the delivery of London Book Fair, one of Reed’s flagship exhibitions as well as international events, winning the 2019 internal Ops Person of the Year Award. Sarah is extremely highly regarded in the business and is becoming a well known voice and figure within the industry.
Tabitha Neill – EventShaper – Operations Manager
Tabs has worked on every type of event from small consumer shows in racecourse venues, to trade shows in China. Any event you give to Tabs, you know will be delivered to perfection. Tabs not only has excellent client management skills, but she is also very good at building relationships with contractors and has recently taken a seat on the cross-association sustainability working group. She is passionate and fully committed to a future carer in Operations within Exhibitions.
Tom Burns – Vlogger Events – Event Director
Tom has been at the forefront of the Social in the City Events for 12 years and remains a driving force despite acquisition and further sales of the brand. Tom has developed the portfolio with new events, adapting to new social formats such as ToKFEST and has been responsible for pivoting online during the pandemic, maintaining the brand’s presence in the market.
