New organiser of the Ideal Home Show, Media 10, has announced a radical change to the 101 year-old show as part of its pledge to bring it into the 21st century.
For the 102nd edition, the show will be broken down into eight different areas, all under one roof. The areas will be Ideal Home Improvements, Ideal Village, Ideal Food, Ideal Gardens, Ideal Shopping, Ideal Woman, Ideal Interiors and Ideal Home Gadgets.
MD of Media 10, Lee Newton, tells exhibitionnews.co.uk: “In the past, to a certain degree, the show’s floor plan was run by the exhibitors rather than the organiser. By giving exhibitors a dedicated area linked to their product or service, we hope to enhance the visitor experience by making it easier for them to find what they are looking for.”
According to Newton, each area will be themed and easily recognisable without the need to employ barriers.
“A clear distinction will be apparent to allow traffic to walk around freely. As well as colour-coded shell scheme stands and flooring, there will be a central feature linked to each area’s core aspect. There won’t be a need to make visitors queue up or pass through barriers to gain entry,” he adds.
The Ideal Home Show takes place at Earls Court on 20 March – 5 April 2010.
