VegFest UK founder Tim Barford, the organiser of one of the UK’s biggest vegan trade and consumer shows, is full steam ahead working on the finishing touches of VegFest Trade and VegFest London to be held on 20-22 October at Olympia.
Established in Bristol in 2003, Barford first brought the event to the UK capital in 2013 and was deemed the first vegan lifestyle event to be held at a big exhibition hall. “It was an instant runaway success,” he told.
VegfestUK Trade will shocase cutting-edge vegan products, and six featured areas of panel discussions tailored to independent vegan business owners, health professionals and those from the catering, retailing, natural health, media, bodycare and beauty sectors.
The three-day event is just short of 300 stalls, and the organiser expects 14,000 visitors. “Featuring over 100 speakers, this would be the biggest yet,” Barford said.
Last year’s events saw around 260 stalls and 12,000 visitors. “There’s nothing like it in the UK right now. It really is the gathering of the (non dairy) cream of the UK vegan community. Other shows boast numbers, but none can test when it comes to where the heart of the UK vegan community gathers every year,” Barford enthused.
Featured areas include Vegan Business Support, Vegan Health Clinic, Plant-Based Chef Corner, Vegan Celebrity Zone, Independent Retailers Lounge and Vegan Bodycare Pavilion.
VegFest UK has also confirmed next year’s dates for the event in Brighton and Bristol to be on 24-25 March, and on 26-27 May, respectively.
