The NEC is set to host the launch of the UK Drone Show, dedicated to the safe use of drone and unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) technology, on 5 December 2015.
“Flying and product demonstrations are an integral part of the exhibition so flexible space was a huge consideration for us. The NEC offers us a blank canvas with plenty of floor space and height within halls, as well as a huge outdoor space,” said Richard Wright, UK Drone Show exhibition manager.
“The NEC provides us with the perfect space and an ideal location to host our launch show.”
The organiser said the exhibition will utilise the NEC’s indoor and outdoor space to showcase the use of drones and UAV technology. The show will aim to offer visitors the chance to find out more about UAV Safety and Regulation and the latest micro drone technology.
David Gallagher, the NEC’s new business development manager, commented: “We are extremely excited to be welcoming the Drone Show to the NEC. The drone industry is relatively new but it is growing rapidly so we are delighted that we are going to be associated with the launch of its first dedicated exhibition.
“Shows that launch at the NEC have an average growth of 31 per cent in year two so we are confident that we can really contribute to the success of the UK Drone Show in 2015 and beyond.”
