UBM Live Built Environment, organiser of the global Ecobuild events, is moving into the Americas, by teaming up with construction event Expo Cihac.
The organiser will partner on Eco Cihac, the sustainable construction offering at the show which will run at Centro Banamex, Mexico City on 14-18 October.
The exhibition attracts around 65,000 specialised buyers from Mexico and Latin America and this partnership will see significant investment injected into the sales and marketing function to help broaden the event’s scope and further position it as the strategic bridge between the European Union and the Mexican and American sustainable construction industries.
“We are delighted to be working with CIHAC to power Eco Cihac which marks an important step in Ecobuild’s strategy to globalise the sustainable construction industry,” said UBM group director of sustainability and construction Alison Jackson.
“The event represents significant commercial opportunities for European sustainable construction companies to enter this highly lucrative market.”
Ecobuild also runs exhibitions in India, China and Malaysia but this is the first move from UBM into the Americas.
“Our collaboration with Ecobuild will create a great momentum and growth opportunity for Eco Cihac,” said Eco Cihac director Pablo Álvarez. “We will utilise our local market expertise and relationships to enhance the brand reach of the event and make Eco Cihac powered by Ecobuild a truly international event for Mexico and the Americas.”
This is the 10th edition of Ecobuild and UBM added new areas for this show.
