The Royal Agricultural Society of England (RASE) is launching its first retail show since the end of the Royal Show, which was cancelled last year after 160 years.
The Winter Fair, which will be organised by Channell Events and RASE, is due to be held from 29 to 31 October 2010 and its organiser is expecting the event to attract around 15,000 visitors in its first year.
RASE plan to house around 250 exhibitors, selling presents and gift goods ranging from British and locally-made products, including art, jewellery, accessories and home wares.
“The Royal Show was known for its excellent retail village and we see the Winter Fair attracting the same high quality exhibitors,” says CEO of RASE, Brian Warren. “Our aim is to source quality exhibitors with the most authentic and diverse range of gift items.”
There are plans for the halls to be decorated with Christmas trees and there will be performances by local choirs.
