Global Experience Specialists (GES) commercial director EMEA Ted Bloom is to step down from the company after 15 years working within the firm.
Bloom had served as group commercial officer at GES in the UK. He originally joined the company in 1998.
He was appointed new EMEA chief commercial officer in February.
But in a company statement, Bloom has “decided the time is right to take a break from the industry”. He will be stepping down as from today.
“I have worked with Ted for over 14 years and I would like to take this opportunity to thank Ted for his dedication, commitment and friendship over this time and wish him all the best for the future,” said GES executive chairman Nick Marshall. “I have thoroughly enjoyed working with him and he leaves us with an established platform from which we can take GES in the EMEA region to the next level.”
Bloom worked closely with Melville GES show organiser clients throughout the EMEA region, and with its North American sales teams, to develop integrated approaches to show organisers’ growing international requirements.
He had already driven the development of Melville GES’ exhibitor offering, new data and registration product, and been instrumental in the extension of Melville GES’ UBM account in the UK and Europe.
