The Bournemouth Ink tattoo convention moves from Bournemouth Opera House to the larger Bournemouth International Centre for the 2010 event.
Event director for marketing and design, Trevor Hill, says for its second show, Ink needed a venue which could cater to the expected increase in numbers.
“The BIC suited our needs perfectly,” he says.
BIC head of conferences, exhibitions and events, Clive Tyers, says: “With the downturn in the economy, exhibitions have been hit by lower visitor figures, but they seem to be recovering and it’s great to see a unique event like this coming to us.”
The show, which runs from 29 to 30 May, will feature about 150 exhibiting traders, as well as live music, visual displays, and burlesque performances, and areas offering bodily piercing. At least 3,000 visitors are expected each day.
