B2B media group Tarsus Group has acquired 80 per cent of the share capital of US business travel and meetings event organiser Connect Meetings.
Connect Meetings, which is headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, organises a number of national and regional trade shows aimed at the business travel and meetings sector, including Connect Florida, Connect Incentive, Connect Canada and Connect Sports.
Connect Meetings live events (known as Marketplaces) have brought together more than 6,000 suppliers/planners and facilitated more than 85,000 pre-arranged meetings.
The current CEO of Connect Meetings will remain in place, along with the senior management team for the organiser.
The acquisition follows the group’s trading update released last week, anticipating a strong 2017 with forward bookings.
