On 16-17 June, Childcare Expo Manchester, organised by Broadway Events, opened its doors for the second time for its return at EventCity, welcoming 1,686 visitors to the venue.
Despite the recent events in the local area, early years practitioners came together to take advantage of the exclusive site offers and discounts available from the show’s 103 exhibitors.
Early years trainer Alistair Bryce-Clegg cut the ribbon to open the show and signed his new book, Effective Transition into Year One, which is yet to be published. Bryce-Clegg also hosted his own seminar titled ‘Thrill, Will, Skill’.
Interactive workshops ran across both days, immersing the audience in dance and music. Jo Baranek from NDNA hosted a science workshop creating bubbling volcanoes and piercing balloons without popping them encouraging visitors to try this at their own settings. Ollie Tunmer from Beat Goes On also persuaded his audience to take part in his body percussion.
The next Childcare Expo event, Childcare Expo Midlands, takes place on 29-30 September.
